Kodiak College CAMP Director

Kodiak College is accepting applications to oversee and manage the newly funded College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP). Under the administrative direction of the KoC Assistant Director for Student Success and Innovative Programs, the CAMP Director will provide leadership and vision for implementing the program plan of operation, leading multiple employees, monitoring the budget, maintaining compliance with federal regulations and guidelines, and providing reports to the U.S. Department of Education on the achievement of program goals and overall success.

The College Assistance Migrant Program has existed since 1972. The program assists students who are migratory or seasonal farmworkers – or their dependents – enrolled in their first year of undergraduate studies at an Institution of Higher Education. The funding supports the completion of the first year of studies and serves 25 CAMP participants annually. Funding supports eligible persons through counseling, tutoring, skills workshops, financial aid stipends, health services, and housing assistance.

To thrive in this role as the CAMP Director, a candidate must possess strong leadership and organizational skills. They will bring a proven track record in budgeting, staff supervision, and program evaluation, particularly in compliance with federal grant program regulations. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting is essential to ensure the effective assessment and continuous improvement of the program. Additionally, the CAMP Director must excel in communication, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the program's goals are met and participants are supported in their educational journey.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field and five years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Master’s degree preferred.

Position Details:

This position is located on the University of Alaska, Kodiak College campus in Kodiak. This is a full-time, term-funded, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 80, based on education and experience.
