Our IT Helpdesk Technician is the face of technology here at KuC. As the first line of assistance for all Faculty, Staff, Administration, and Students, your expertise in troubleshooting and service will elevate the user experience and educational environment at our University. In addition to offering career training, our inclusive environment, love for food, and emphasis on healthy living combine to make KuC a welcoming and family style workplace.
As our IT Helpdesk Technician, you will join a caring, fun, and diverse team at the KuC Campus. Your day-to-day will involve knowledge sharing for our various IT systems and structures, troubleshooting hardware or software issues, providing oversight of audio and video applications, and conversing over coffee or donuts. You will have the responsibility of creating purchase requests for user's IT solutions and maintaining or replacing EOL equipment. Your department will collaborate with other University IT counterparts, and you will fill in for the Systems Administrator during their absence with items such as Security, Networking, and other IT infrastructure.
To thrive in this role, you must have customer service experience, be able to respond in a timely manner and work with diverse groups of technological skill sets. Critical thinking and self-initiative are required, as you will often be unsupervised when troubleshooting, researching, or performing other day-to-day tasks. Proficiencies in analytical thinking will vastly improve the time-to-solution for end users as well as the post-incident documentation required by the department. As the Information Technology field is rapidly evolving, the ability to stay updated on changes and communicate them to our campus is indispensable.
