The HR Manager for CIS and CTC is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing all HR administration and support functions. This position requires a strategic thinker who can effectively manage multiple priorities while ensuring alignment with the University of Alaska's overarching goals. As an expert resource for HR processes, policies, and compliance, the HR Manager will collaborate with various units to enhance service excellence and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities include defining objectives and deadlines, mentoring HR coordinators, and implementing quality control measures to uphold high standards. The role demands a proactive approach to recruitment, employee relations, and training initiatives, emphasizing continuous improvement and professional development across the organization. With a focus on navigating complex HR challenges, the HR Manager will play a crucial role in fostering a supportive and compliant work environment for all CIS and CTC personnel.

Minimum Qualifications:

Three years college coursework and three years progressively responsible experience related to the program specialty, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Position Details:

The position is based in Fairbanks, Alaska, and will share time between the CTC Campus at 604 Barnette and the Troth Yeddha' campus. This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience.
