This posting is for those graduate students who have been selected for a research assistantship with any department within the UAF Institute of Arctic Biology. The assistantship is per semester or full academic year basis.

To thrive in this role, successful applicants will have experience or interest and the capacity to learn curricular or research design and support. They will have an understanding of how learning/research/creative processes works and the ability to collaborate and work in a diverse environment. Good organizational and communication skills are a must!

Experience in the RA topic area is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Awarded Bachelor's degree and pursuing a graduate degree at UAF.

Currently admitted to a graduate degree program at the University of Alaska. Awarded Bachelor's degree and pursuing a graduate degree at UAF. Must enroll in at least 6 credit hours during each fall and spring semester during the appointment.

Maintain a 2.00 cumulative GPA for all graduate credit courses

Position Details:

The assistantship does include a tuition waiver, health care coverage, and a stipend. Stipend amount is commensurate with degree in hand at the time of application. For more information you can contact the IAB Human Resources office via email with your questions.

This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.
