UAA General Support Services is seeking a motivated, dependable, skilled individual to join our team as Fiscal Specialist. This position provides support in all areas related to the fiscal operations and provides for a great deal of variety in tasks and the ability to continue to learn new things. UAA General Support Services includes the Copy & Print Center, Mailroom/Central Receiving, Surplus & Relocation, Recycling, and Property units. The Fiscal Specialist reports to the Fiscal Manger and provides support in all areas related to the fiscal operations of the department, including day to day AR and AP functions, and research/analysis/report preparation.

To thrive in this role, applicants should possess strong attention to detail and superb organizational skills along with the ability to handle multiple tasks, often switching between tasks as priorities dictate. The successful applicant will have advanced knowledge of accounting system functions and procedures (e.g. accounts receivable, accounts payable) as well as the ability to analyze and problem solve complex issues. This position is expected to be able to interpret and follow complex fiscal and purchasing policies, rules & regulations. Members of our team must be highly dependable and committed to strong customer service.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates degree in Accounting or related field plus three years related professional experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience in relevant fiscal functions in a business environment.

Knowledge of cash-handling and control procedures.

Advanced knowledge of accounting system functions and procedures.

Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred.

Position Details:

This is a full-time, non-exempt, staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule, Grade 78, based on education and experience.
