The University of Alaska Anchorage Office of Admission is seeking an Events and Recruitment Coordinator. If you are interested we invite you to apply!

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Student Recruitment, the Events and Recruitment Coordinator coordinates, plans and executes UAA’s prospective students events, including Academic Preview Days, Junior Day, Honors Night, UA Scholars at UAA, Explore UAA Day and other events. The Recruitment Coordinator is also an active member of the UAA Office of Admissions recruitment team.

To thrive in this role, candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience delivering presentations and training to both small and large groups. The ability to think quickly and handle unexpected situations with tact and respect is essential, along with strong event planning and organizational skills. Successful candidates will be detail-oriented, able to manage competing priorities and deadlines, and highly organized. A minimum of two years of professional experience in an office or customer service setting, along with a Bachelor's degree, is required, with UAA academic experience preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from regionally accredited institution and two years of relevant professional work experience, or an equivalent comibitation of training and experience.

Position Details:

This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 78, based on education and experience.
