Entrepreneurship Specialist

The Center for Economic Developing is seeking a driven and independent individual to join a dynamic team dedicated to growing Alaska's economy by supporting early-stage entrepreneurs. The role involves creating and delivering entrepreneurial content, collaborating with local support agencies, and providing feedback to entrepreneurs on business challenges. With a focus on innovation and entrepreneurial development, the position also offers opportunities to work both independently and collaboratively, while representing the organization in Alaska's vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The successful candidate will possess evidence of entrepreneurial and innovation first-hand experience, and must be able to work efficiently and effectively in both independent and collaborative situations. Master’s degree preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with a combination of education and experience that demonstrates a clear interest in entrepreneurship.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field and two years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Position Details:

This position is located on the UAA campus in Anchorage. This is a full-time, term-funded, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience.

This position is a term-funded position and is reviewed annually for contract renewal at the University's discretion.
