4-H is the positive youth development program within the Cooperative Extension Service at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. This position will assist the Bethel 4-H staff with programming and activities to support a love of learning and life skill development. In addition to having flexible hours (as some evenings and/or weekends may be needed), this position will require good communication and basic computer skills, and the ability to do a variety of activities, like: crafts, cooking, recreation, STEM, gardening, etc.
To thrive in this role, you will have 6 months or more experience working with youth ages 5-18, 6 months or more of office or administrative experience. You will also have experience, understand, and be respectful of cross-cultural and socio-economic diversity.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Complete 4-H Leader training (post-hire)
CPR/First Aid Certification (current or within 30 days after hire)
Valid Alaska Driver's License or the ability to obtain
Position Details:
This position is located in Bethel Alaska. This is a part-time, non-exempt temporary position. Grade 73, based on education and experience.
This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.
