The UAA School of Medical Education is a partnership with the University of Washington School of Medicine (UWSOM), part of the Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idaho (WWAMI) decentralized medical education program. UAA WWAMI is seeking applicants for a non-tenure track appointment in the School of Medical Education, teaching Human Form and Function (HFF) to 1st and 2nd year medical students in the Foundations Phase. Curriculum is developed by collaboration within the HFF faculty throughout WWAMI, creating a common proscribed curriculum. The successful applicant will be expected to join an existing multi-disciplinary team of faculty and staff to teach gross anatomy, microanatomy, medical imaging, and embryology. The successful applicant will collaborate with both Basic Science and Clinical faculty to integrate and reinforce anatomical concepts throughout the curriculum. Additionally, the applicant will teach anatomy each spring semester to occupational therapy (OT) doctoral students and undergraduate students.

Anatomy is a key component of the Alaska WWAMI medical school curriculum. Demonstrated ability to maintain harmonious working relationships and address complex issues is a must. Knowledge of, or experience with, equity and diversity is a plus.
