The ASMP Grant Manager plays a crucial role in connecting internal and external entities within the Alaska education system. The ASMP Grant Manager serves as a critical link between internal and external entities and the University, facilitating communication among grant funders, evaluators, consultants, and ASMP staff. This role ensures compliance with grant laws and aligns innovative education programs across varying timelines and funding sources.
Key responsibilities include directing organizational and mentor program planning, maximizing efficiencies as outlined in grant awards, and collaborating on program development plans, including grant writing. The Coordinator will lead teams of educators and consultants to meet project deadlines and create communication strategies for diverse audiences, including administrators and students.
Additionally, the Coordinator oversees budgeting for grant line items, identifies staffing needs, develops position descriptions, and trains new hires. Participation in management discussions ensures compliance and project progress. The role also involves researching and securing funding for outreach initiatives, working with the K-12 Outreach Advisory Board to establish educational goals. Responsibilities include presenting at workshops and conferences to enhance outreach partnerships and achieve agency objectives.
The ideal candidate for the ASMP Grant Manager position will possess extensive institutional knowledge of the Alaska education system, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities it presents. Minimum Qualifications:
20+ years total working experience in the Alaska educational system

Position Details:
This position is located on the Troth Yeddah campus in Fairbanks, and flexible on-site/hybrid work arrangements may be considered in accordance with UA regulations. This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 81, based on education and experience.
