Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Applicants should be available to work within Alaska during the length of the assignment. Candidates will be evaluated on the suitability of their academic preparation, past teaching experience, and potential for providing high quality instruction to undergraduate students in a manner consistent with the specific course content guides in the Department of Art. Preferred Experience & Education:
Applicants must have experience relevant to teaching the specific course content.

Required Experience & Education:

A faculty member who is the instructor of record in a credit-bearing course at the undergraduate level should hold a terminal master's degree (MFA), unless an exception has been approved by the Dean of CAS. Exceptions may be made in other circumstances when prospective faculty have special professional credentials and experience. An example of a candidate with special professional credentials might be an accomplished artist.

Faculty teaching upper-division courses or graduate courses should hold a terminal degree in the appropriate discipline.

Successful applicants must provide official transcripts documenting academic credentials required for the position as a condition of employment.

This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.
