The College of Business and Security Management (CBSM) at the University of Alaska Fairbanks invites applications for adjunct Homeland Security and Emergency Management instructors for the 2023-2024 academic year. Adjunct faculty teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Homeland Security and Emergency Management. All applicants are expected to commit to teaching excellence. Qualified candidates are expected to develop a unique and engaging curriculum. Teaching may be conducted face-to-face, online, or a hybrid of the two.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Demonstrated expertise in the areas of arctic security, cyber security, homeland security, homeland defense, and emergency management. Candidates with a professional certification are preferred. Preferred Experience & Education:Masters degree in a related field.
Salary Information:This is a part-time position. Salary rates are $1,666 per credit hour; most semester-based courses are 3 credit hours for a total salary of $5,000.

This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year and applicants are reviewed on an as-needed basis by the HSEM program directors.
