Adjunct instructors are hired on a semester-by-semester appointment. Qualified applicants for this position will be placed into a hiring pool from which instructors will be hired as needed. Acceptance into the hiring pool does not constitute an offer of an appointment, nor does having worked one semester guarantee that a position will be available the following semester; hiring decisions are made on a semester-by-semester basis according to the needs of that semester's schedule.

Candidates will be evaluated on suitability of their academic preparation, past teaching experience, and potential for providing high quality instruction to undergraduate students.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and/or experience is required.

Master's degree is preferred. Previous teaching experience preferred.

PhD or terminal degree in related field is preferred for teaching upper division (300 and 400 level) courses.

Expertise and experience relevant to the effective teaching of the specific subject areas.

Position Details:

This is a part-time, exempt, temporary position. New hires will be paid on the UNAD Salary Schedule or may agree to be paid on a per student basis for classes that are under-enrolled.  Depending on the position, hybrid and remote (within the United States) work arrangements may be considered.
