The UAA Culinary Arts Department is seeking to hire an adjunct instructor to teach one or more courses in the field of culinary arts.

🍽️The applicant will be responsible for teaching one or more undergraduate courses in a manner consistent with the specific course content description.
🍽️Adjunct faculty are expected to hold office hours appropriate for the course(s) being taught.

Candidates will be evaluated on suitability of their academic preparation, past teaching experience, and
potential for providing high quality instruction to undergraduate students.
Expertise and experience relevant to the effective teaching of the specialty.

Minimum Qualifications:

🎓Certificate in Culinary Arts or 3 years of appropriate experience and ServSafe Food Protection Manager certificate.

🎓Preferred: Associate Degree in Culinary Arts and 3 years of appropriate industry experience along with 1 year of teaching experience in the Culinary Arts field.

Position Details:

This is a part-time, adjunct instructor position. Minimum salaries are set by the United Academic - Adjunct, AAUP-AT/AFL-CIO collective bargaining agreement. Salaries may vary based upon education and experience.

This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.

This is an at-will, union represented adjunct position, and may be canceled based upon the needs of the university.
