The 4-H Program Coordinator leads and manages the full range of the 4-H Youth Development programs including clubs, after school programs, educational experiences and camps. Program Coordinators also design, deliver, and evaluate research-based educational programming and services aligned with the position’s programmatic focus. Initial programming focus will include: Working with the 4-H program and its volunteers in efforts to maintain and strengthen the 4-H program; Supporting and building b volunteer recruitment and development efforts; Expanding leadership experiences for youth; working with community collaborations to increase opportunities for youth to develop and build positive life skills.

To be successful the candidate should have the ability to lead and manage programs, youth and volunteers. Have strong verbal and written communication skills. Be good at planning, organizing events, and managing resources. Have above average knowledge of youth development principles and practices. Be skilled in engaging with community partners and stakeholders and conduct training sessions.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates degree in a related field or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Possesses unrestricted work authorization.
A valid driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria is required.

Position Details:

This position is located in Anchorage Alaska. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 77, negotiable  based on education and experience.
