4-H Coordinator Tanana District

The 4‐H Program Coordinator leads and manages the full range of the 4‐H Youth Development programs including clubs, after school programs, educational experiences and camps. Program Coordinators also design, deliver, and evaluate research‐based educational programming and services aligned with the position’s programmatic focus. Initial programming focus will include: Working with the 4‐H program and its volunteers in efforts to maintain and strengthen the 4‐H program; Supporting and building volunteer recruitment and development efforts; Expanding leadership experiences for youth; Working with community collaborations to increase opportunities for youth to develop and build positive life skills.

To be successful the candidate should have the ability to lead and manage programs, youth and volunteers. Have Strong verbal and written communication skills. Be good at planning, organizing events, and managing resources. Have above average knowledge of youth development principles and practices. Be skilled in engaging with community partners and stakeholders and conduct training sessions.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience. May require licensure and/or certification. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

-Possesses unrestricted work authorization.
-1+ years experience in training and development or education.
-Possesses driver's license or the ability to obtain one.

Position Details:

This position is located in Fairbanks Alaska. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 77, based on education and experience.
