The University of Alaska Museum of the North is seeking a Sales Lead to join our Visitor Services department. Visitor Services encompasses all things relating to visitor experience at UAMN, from the friendly and knowledgeable people greeting visitors at the front desk, to the exciting movies shown in our theater, to the unique and high-quality merchandise found in the museum store. The Sales Lead is responsible for daily operations of the Museum Admissions desk and the Museum Store.

This is a full-time year round position in Student Services on the UAS Ketchikan campus. The Academic Advisor will be working with and supporting students; working as part of the Student Services team; and working with faculty and staff in support of the UAS Ketchikan Campus success. The UAS Sitka Campus is seeking individuals to fill two support staff positions to work as part of a larger team in an effort to fulfill a Title III grant mission to provide extra support to students, especially nontraditional, first-generation, underrepresented, and/or underprepared students. These staff members will work individually with students on campus and at a distance, and they should bring knowledge and experience typical to a student services role, such as student support experience, experience working with or referring students to specialized student services, academic and career coaching, and promoting financial literacy and sustainability.
In addition, these staff members will be involved in other grant activities, including facilitating outward relationships with community and industry partners, analyzing institutional research statistical data, researching best practices across student achievement models, and facilitating campus professional development opportunities.

We're seeking a conscious detail-oriented person to be the primary creator of digital content from physical items like rare books, maps and photographs. You'll have the opportunity to make history available, gain experience with content management, and help the library document our public events. You will be working primarily with our rare books and maps, a world class collection of materials about the polar north. Plus, there will be the occasional photo of sled dogs and beautiful glaciers.
