The University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) Department of Natural Resources & Environment seeks innovative candidates for a 9-month tenure track faculty position (approximately 70% teaching, 20% research, and 10% service) at the Assistant Professor level. This is a joint appointment with the College of Natural Science and Mathematics (75%) and the Institute of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Extension (IANRE) (25%). The successful candidate will have the option to extend the position to 12 months through external funding. Possible areas of expertise include, but are not limited to: environmental policy and/or law, sustainability science, forest sciences or ecology and human dimensions of natural resources. |

Campus Services Event Staff are a critical part of the Event Services and Alaska Airlines Center success. As a team member you will be part of the action with preparation, administrative and organizational, ticket selling, set-up and tear-down of guest accommodations and events held at Events Services and Alaska Airlines Center. Typical events include but not limited to; athletics, banquets, comedy shows, conferences, concerts, and trade shows. Campus Services Event Staff position also requires constant use of interpersonal skills including: ability to take direction, collaborate with others, able to recognize and overcome challenges. Campus Services Event Staff constantly moves about the arena and event sites before, during and after events; communicates via telephone, email and in-person with others to exchange accurate information. The duties of this position are performed indoors and occasionally outdoors in the weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environments is usually moderate to loud during events and minimal during non-event times. |

As our Grants Manager you'll play a central role within the IARC Business Office team and work closely with the research faculty in managing a large volume of federal, state, and local grants. The Grants Manager reports directly to the IARC Executive Officer and works closely with the fiscal manager and procurement specialist, as well as, maintaining relationships with the collaborating institutes and the UAF units that support the pre-award proposal work and Office of Grants and Contracts Administration. As the Grants Manager we'll primarily rely on you to monitor/administer restricted fund activity (pre and post-award), be responsible for creating, managing, and performing accounting, budgetary and fiscal functions, follow federal and state grant regulations to maintain compliance, and establish policies and procedures within the University of Alaska system (UA) and IARC. Chiefly, to thrive in this role you will need to provide analysis and budget development support for IARC’s major and non-major research program directors, provide financial information for grant reports to various local, state, and federal funding agencies, and oversee the annual financial close-out.
