UAS Student Housing - Summer Cleaning Crew
The UAS Student Housing office is hiring Summer Cleaning Crew student assistants for Summer employment. We view our student staff team members as an opportunity for personal and professional growth. On-site training will be provided to all Student Housing staff members and includes participation in new student employee orientation (facilitated by campus partners in Career Services); equipment and chemical usage training; and hazardous materials training. Student employees will receive free on campus housing and be eligible to work full time (40 hours a week) throughout the Summer. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis and filled as positions become available.

The UAA/APU Consortium Library supports the educational and research programs of the University of Alaska Anchorage and Alaska Pacific University as well as serving as a major research library for Southcentral Alaska. Archives & Special Collections provides access to unique, one-of-a-kind research materials for the University communities and members of the public. Archives student assistants perform a variety of tasks necessary for maintaining the collection and provide support services to Archives staff and to researchers (see job duties). Although personal preferences will be considered and some scheduling flexibility is offered, the Archives has limited hours and the student assistant will be expected and scheduled to work around their classes within M-F, 9:00 am-5:00 pm. The position is anticipated to start June 10, 2019 and continue through May 9, 2020.

This is an entry level position intended to provide on-the-job training and establish the knowledge base for promotion to a higher level within the Power Plant.

Qualifying candidates need to have excellent time management skills, ability to manage multiple server applications and databases, quantitative analysis and statistical skills.
