Position Summary:

Create educational opportunities in the Bristol Bay region and beyond. Manage the daily operations at the Learning Center and facilitate local courses. Must be good with paperwork and using a computer. Half-time with benefits - 3 months off in the summer. Position located in King Salmon.

In addition to running the Learning Center in King Salmon, this position is the liaison between local community members & organizations and UAF Bristol Bay Campus. This grant funded position $28.74/hour also has tuition waivers for the employee and immediate family members.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Desire to help others navigate paper processing requirements
Cultural sensitivity and emotional intelligence
Experience living and working in rural Alaska
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Zoom
Proficient in use of internet
Knowledge of post-secondary education institutions
Preferred Experience & Education:
Some college coursework preferred.
Required Experience & Education:

High School graduation and three years progressively responsible office/administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Salary Information:

This is a part-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule, Grade 27_77, based on education and experience.
