The College of Arts and Sciences is recruiting qualified applicants for its pool of part-time adjunct instructors in Sociology. We are seeking applicants who possess a desire to help students succeed in reaching their goals.
Applicants must be available to work within Alaska during the length of the assignment. No relocation expenses will be paid for adjunct instruction. Join us and help turn student aspirations into reality!
|Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
||Candidates will be evaluated on suitability of their graduate-level academic coursework and preparation, past teaching experiences, expertise and experience relevant to the effective teaching of their specific field, and potential for providing high-quality instruction to undergraduate students in assigned courses at the University of Alaska.
|Preferred Experience & Education:
Applicants must have expertise and experience relevant to teaching the specific course content.
Experience teaching college-level courses in Sociology or closely related field is preferred.
|Required Experience & Education:
The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in sociology or a closely related field relevant to the topic at hand. A Ph.D. in sociology is preferred. Successful applicants must provide official transcripts documenting academic credentials required for the position as a condition of employment.
This is a part-time, adjunct represented temporary position. New hires will be placed on the adjunct salary schedule as outlined in the UNAD CBA, based on education and experience.
