Position Summary:
Be the most knowledgeable and resourceful student at UAS! Student Ambassadors have the ability to support new and continuing students at UAS through a wide range of peer advising and ambassador related roles. This is a great opportunity to gain firsthand experience with UAS operations and services through thorough training and collaborative support of professional staff. You will leave this position with a wide range of advanced customer service skills, interpersonal and public speaking skills, all which are highly transferable and position you well for future professional careers.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: |
-Comfortable answering phones, engaging with new people (face to face and online), and speaking publicly.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Google apps
-Effective written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to develop strong strong customer service and interpersonal skills
-Dependability, available to work occasionally in the evenings and on the weekends.
-Commitment to serve as an UAS representative to local community members.
-Demonstrate initiative, dependability, and reliability
-Be able to work independently and as part of a team |
Required Experience & Education: |
Must be a UAS student enrolled in at least six credit hours throughout the employment period. Summer employees must be enrolled in at least 6 credits for the upcoming Fall semester, and are not required to take summer courses for student employment. Must have a 2.0 cumulative GPA, unless a first time freshman.

Salary Information: |
This is a part-time, Student Assistant 1 position starting at $13.11 per hour with a maximum of 20 hours per week.
