Position Summary:
The UAS Ketchikan Campus invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor of History to begin in Spring or Fall 2024 (depending on availability of finalist). The position will be located in Ketchikan, Alaska and teach online courses in support of general education students and the online Bachelor of Arts in Social Science degree. The position will also coordinate on-campus and community-based history education offerings.

Three years of teaching experience preferred.

Required Experience & Education: |
The successful candidate must satisfy the following requirements: 1. PhD in History or a related field 2. Ability to teach US and world history survey courses 3. Ability to teach upper-level history and cross-disciplinary courses in areas of applicant’s interests and specialization, including Alaska-specific history content 4. Demonstrated potential for undergraduate teaching excellence

Salary Information: |
This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track, represented faculty position complete with a competitive full employee benefits package, including tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental, and vision coverage.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
