The College of Arts and Sciences, Natural Science Division at UAA is seeking applicants for its adjunct instructor pool for the following Adjunct Faculty:
Biology - Chemistry - Geology - Physics / Astronomy.
100%The incumbent will be responsible for teaching one or more courses in a manner consistent with the course content guide. Adjunct faculty are expected to be available for contact with students and hold office hours appropriate for the course(s) being taught.
This is a pooled position and applicants will be reviewed on an as needed basis. Acceptance into the pool does not constitute an offer of employment, nor does having worked one semester guarantee that a position will be available the following semester. Hiring decisions are made on a semester-by-semester basis according to the needs of that semester's schedule. To be eligible for this position, applicants must be legally authorized for unrestricted employment in the United States. No work visas will be sponsored for this position.Essential

Department of Geological Sciences
Department of Physics & Astronomy
|Preferred Experience & Education:
Applicants must have experience relevant to teaching the specific course content.
|Required Experience & Education:
MA/MS in Biology, Chemistry, Geology or Physics/Astronomy or a related field, unless an exception has been approved by the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Exceptions may be made in other circumstances when prospective faculty have special professional credentials and experience.
This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position. Minimum salaries are set by the United Academic - Adjunct, AAUP-AT/AFL-CIO collective bargaining agreement. Salaries may vary based upon education and experience.

This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year. Applications will be reviewed on as rolling basis as additional adjunct faculty are needed.
