Position Summary:

UAF Bristol Bay Campus is hiring a full-time with benefits Grant Coordinator to oversee all aspects of grant management. Office space is available in Dillingham and Unalaska. Remote work may be an option for residents in Alaska. A geographic pay differential is applied depending on location.

Duties:

1-90Grant Management: Manage complex federal and state multi-year projects. Monitor fiscal grant-related and administrative activities to ensure compliance with applicable policies, rules, regulations, processes, and procedures. Ensure University compliance with funding evaluators and partners. Identify and advise management of potential problems and findings when compliance and administration violations exist. Conduct research; collect, analyze, and interpret data and prepare comprehensive reports. Participate in institutional planning processes; keep executive management abreast of regulatory changes and communicate to necessary stakeholders. Collaborate with internal and external constituencies on grants and other funding projects. This position will also collaborate with faculty, the Instructional Services Coordinator, and others to offer classes per grant goals and objectives. Support employees and independent consultants to ensure that project goals and objectives are met.Essential
2-10Grant Writing: This position is responsible for evaluating and identifying new funding opportunities, analyzing the needs of the campus to develop grant ideas, and writing grant proposals. This position works collaboratively to complete grant applications.Essential

UAF Bristol Bay Campus is hiring a Grants Coordinator to oversee all aspects of grant management: Assist with new grant applications. Implement projects described in several existing grants.  Plan the timeline for meeting grant objectives. Know acceptable uses of  funding. Ensure deadlines are met. Provide supporting documents. Collaborate with faculty, staff and partner organizations. Must be a strong writer. Highly developed organizational skills are required.  Must be technology proficient. This 11 month position has benefits, including UA tuition waivers for the immediate family.

Typical Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in related field and two years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Preferred: Experience living and working in rural Alaska
Required Education or Training:

Bachelor’s degree in related field and two years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Master’s degree preferred.

Salary Information:

This is a full-time, 11-month, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. New hires located in the Bristol Bay area, Dillingham, or Unalaska will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule (Dillingham), Grade 27_79, based on education and experience. Other hires within Alaska will be placed on the appropriate geographic UA staff salary schedule.

This position is a term-funded position and is reviewed annually for contract renewal at the University's discretion.
