Position Summary:

Rasmuson Library is seeking applicants for a Student Social Media Assistant position. This is a great opportunity for an individual competent in creating and posting content to social media platforms such as Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, Twitter, TikTok, and Facebook. As a contributor you will create and post content on Rasmuson Library’s social media platforms, as well as monitor these platforms for comments. You will gain professional online communications and journalism experience while attending classes.

Duties:

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: ○ Proficient in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
○ Effective written and verbal communication skills.
○ Dependability and reliability to meet content deadlines.
○ Ability to learn how to create content using Canva or other tools.
○ Ability to post content using scheduling software and your personal device.
Required Education or Training:
○ Must be a UAF student enrolled in a maximum of six credit hours throughout the employment period.
○ Must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA throughout the employment period.
Salary Information:

This is a part-time Student Assistant 2 ($11.34/hourly) position during the academic year (Fall/Spring). Students may work up to 20 hrs per week.
