Position Summary:

The University of Alaska Southeast Student Accounts Office is looking to provide an enriching work experience to students interested in exploring the business, banking or accounting fields of study.

Duties:

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Ability to determine and process moderately complex tuition and fee transactions on two computer systems often with the pressure of customers waiting.  
  • Customer Service
  • Business-professional writing skills
  • Basic understanding of accounting
  • Familiarity with the right to privacy regulations
  • Willingness to learn
  • Familiarity with professional filing methods
Typical Experience:
Some cash handling experience helpful.
Required Education or Training:

Must be currently enrolled as as a full-time student at UAS and meet the minimum GPA requirements.

Salary Information:

This is a part-time Student Assistant 2 ($11.34/hourly), 20 hours/weekly, position with the Student Accounts Office.  All applicants must have a 2.0 GPA and maintain enrollment in at least 6 undergraduate credit hours, or 6 graduate credit hours for student employment during the academic year.
