UAS Facilities Services is now hiring for seasonal outdoor maintenance workers to assist in maintaining lawns, shrubs and flowerbeds. General knowledge, skills, and abilities to operate and maintain grounds equipment. Must be capable of manual labor. Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs. Previous groundskeeper experience preferred. Applicant must possess an unrestricted Alaska driver's license. This is a great opportunity for outdoor, seasonal employment. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to work in a group setting including following instructions given by a Lead or Supervisor; relating in a positive manner to management and other employees; and assisting in providing a productive and safe work environment. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Previous groundskeeper experience
REQUIRED EDUCATION OR TRAINING:
Applicant must possess a valid and unrestricted Alaska driver's license. General knowledge, skills, and abilities to operate and maintain grounds equipment. Must be capable of manual labor. Previous groundskeeper experience preferred.
