40 ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANCE
Assist the administrative support staff with setting up project folders, compiling documents, entering data on spreadsheets, closing out contracts, and other project-related duties. Draft, review and edit memos and other documents. Assist with project archiving, including database entry, scanning, filing, and disposal. Special projects as needed. Essential
Demonstrated knowledge of modern office procedures and equipment including computers, multi-line telephone system, printers, copiers, and fax machines. Working knowledge of word processing, database and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Office), email and calendar systems. Experience working with the public. Ability to establish and maintain files and recordkeeping systems. Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work flow; and to work well under pressure. Effectively communicate on the phone, in person, or by correspondence. Ability to work independently and to use good judgment and initiative to carry out recurring assignments.
At least one (1) year of office/administrative experience is necessary for this position.
REQUIRED EDUCATION OR TRAINING:
High school diploma or equivalent, and at least one (1) year office/administrative experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Customer service experience is required. Must possess a valid Alaska Drivers License.

Salary Information: Grade 75 / Step 1 $17.16/hr DOE. This is a full-time, benefited position with a UA employee benefits package.
