Position Summary:

The Bristol Bay Campus is seeking a dynamic individual to help serve the community as the Instructional Services Manager!

Duties:

30Provide in-depth analysis and interpretation of course information either gathered or received and provide clear and concise communication to the campus director, leadership, faculty, staff and other UA constituents, to include external partners. Adhere to FERPA regulations and confidentiality procedures. Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, processes, policies and procedures and accreditation standards. Serve as member of the campus senior administrative leadership team engaged in strategic planning, decision-making, policy development and problem-solving for campus-wide issues. Conduct monthly campus instructional services meetings to communicate/receive information and/or concerns. Work with CRCD’s Lead Course Manager to schedule local training in various instructional services related subject areas, either in person or other delivery methods. Serve as backup in the absence of campus instructional services staff.Essential
70Direct, manage, coordinate and supervise the Bristol Bay Campus course delivery system. Train, evaluate and guide BBC Learning Center Coordinators. Provide oversight of campus partnerships within service area, to include local school districts, tribal organizations and government programs. Ensure the BBC Classes spreadsheet is updated and accurate for other campus personnel to reference. Assist with determining costs for individual classes and help identify funding sources to cover costs. Areas include but not limited to obtaining academic approval for instructors and special topics courses, recruiting local adjunct instructors, maintaining system of course information, managing course evaluation process, coordinating instructor travel arrangements, ensuring purchase of course materials, overseeing marketing and advertising strategies in coordination with other campus personnel.Essential

The Bristol Bay Campus is searching for an Instructional Service Manager to guide the educational program and supervise six Learning Center Coordinators in the Bristol Bay and Aleutian region. 

This position can be hired anywhere within the Bristol Bay Campus Service Area (Bristol Bay and/or Aleutian Region).

This is a full-time, Grade 80, Starting Pay is $35.83/hr DOE which includes a geographic differential of 27%, a 10-month position complete with a salary, and competitive  UA employee benefits package.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Demonstrated ability to relate to students, potential students, as well as campus council members, regional stakeholders, and partner organizations. Demonstrated ability to use independent judgment to address varied situations and complex problems. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Must have demonstrated experience supervising and evaluating the performance of staff. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Knowledge of UA and UAF structure, BOR policies and UA regulations and system procedures. Experience with Banner and Degreeworks. Knowledge and experience working with rural communities and diverse populations.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in related field and five years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Master’s degree preferred. Experience supervising and leading staff.
