The Computer Science department at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor starting Fall 2021. The position requires a strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, developing a strong research program and obtaining research funding, publishing in peer-reviewed publications, and performing service. Candidates must have a BS degree in Computer Science or similarly named field, and a PhD in Computer Science or closely-related field prior to beginning the job.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Specialized background in computer science, including computer science education, computer graphics, artificial intelligence, mathematical modeling, big data, data analytics, or cyber security.
