The Animal Resources Center is seeking experienced grounds crew/maintenance workers to assist with maintenance and operations of the Robert G. White Large Animal Research Station. Applicants will be reviewed on an as-needed basis until June 30, 2021. This position will be physically located at the UAF campus in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Knowledge of hand and power tools and their safe operation.
Experience with tractors, mowers, ATVs.
Familiarity with small engines and power equipment.
Ability to exhibit a high degree of professionalism.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to prioritize and use good judgment.
Ability to multitask.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High degree of independence and problem-solving ability required.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Grounds crew or maintenance experience preferred. Experience working with or around animals helpful but not required.
