Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of accepted instruction methods.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Public speaking skills.
Customer service skills.
The ability to effectively teach complicated technical content.
The ability to document operational, safety, and environmental procedures in an industrial setting.
Experience:
2 years relevant experience.
Salary based on number of previous semesters teaching experience within the University of Alaska.
Required Education or Training:
Bachelor's degree/Master's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or Industrial Hygiene or field related to the position, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
One or more national-recognized safety related certifications (i.e. ASP, CSP, or CIH).
UNAD-Adjunct:
This is an at-will, union represented adjunct position, and may be cancelled based upon the needs of the university.
