Duties:

Student position - Technical duties at KUAC may include: Inventory, create and maintain a catalog of broadcast equipment and cabling of TV master control system and radio control system. With guidance, perform routine maintenance of broadcast equipment. Identify and record network IP addresses, user names and passwords for equipment. Assist in maintaining complex system software, at the direction of the system administrators. This software might be layered software packages, system utilities, or other system applications. Write technical documentation.Essential

KUAC is seeking UAF undergraduate students to fill a Student-Technical position. Usual duties may include: inventory, create and maintain a catalog of broadcast equipment and cabling of TV master control system and radio control system; perform routine maintenance of broadcast equipment; Identify and record network IP addresses, user names, and passwords for equipment; Assist in maintaining complex system software, at the direction of the system administrators. This software might be layered software packages, system utilities, or other system applications. Write technical documentation and other duties as assigned.

Applicants must be currently enrolled in 6 or more credit hours and must maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher.

Compensation: This position is a 00_C (Step 1: $10.50/hour), Salary is commensurate with experience.

- Competency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)

- Basic knowledge of IP network addressing
- Working toward A+ Certification
- Demonstrate aptitude and versatility required to quickly learn software applications.
- Attention to detail, proofreading and spell checking, and the ability to take instructions.

REQUIRED EDUCATION OR TRAINING:

The student should have coursework or experience with some aspect of IT, network systems, or computing technology.
