UAA Division of Health Sciences and Applied Health Research is recruiting qualified applicants for its pool of adjunct instructors in Health Sciences. We are seeking applicants who possess a desire to help students succeed in reaching their goals. Health Sciences offers a broad-based selection of courses and programs for students who wish to pursue a career or who need to increase their knowledge in this area of study.

Position Information:
Adjunct positions are on a semester appointment basis. Successful acceptance into the adjunct pool does not guarantee an offer of an appointment nor does having worked one semester guarantee an offer of employment in the following semester. This is an adjunct labor pool and applicants are hired based on departmental need.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Candidates will be evaluated on suitability of their academic qualifications, past teaching experience, and potential for providing high quality instruction to undergraduate students.
Demonstrated subject expertise and experience relevant to teaching the specific course content is preferred.
Applicants must be available to work within Alaska during the length of the assignment.
Required Experience:
No experience required.
Public health, health education, or teaching assistant experience preferred.
Typical Education or Training:
Bachelors degree required.
