Student Assistant C
KSUA 91.5 FM is UAF's student-run noncommercial radio station.
The Production Director has a hand in all KSUA content that is pre-recorded or produced outside of the studio. The Production Director will help produce public service announcements, Station ID's, and show promos as well as helping record public events, live music, and assisting DJ's in pre-recording shows and other content. The Production Director is responsible for reaching out to groups both on campus in the community to promote community/campus orienteted activities and services.
The production director primarily uses Adobe Audition (part of the Adobe Creative Suite) for audio editing and Zetta and GSelector for programming pre-recorded content. The Production Director should also have a cursory knowledge of Garage Band, Audacity, Hindenburg and other free or common digital audio workstations (DAW).
The production director must be aware FCC guidelines for audio created for airplay on a non-commercial station such as KSUA.
$10.50/hour, 40 hours per pay period (bi-weekly).
Student employees must be in good academic standing and currently enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.
Broad knowledge of radio or audio recording and production practices, strong organizational and communication skills.
At least 6 months of radio experience as a staff member or volunteer, knowledge of current music industry trends.
