UAF's Community and Technical College is looking for experienced English and Math tutors for our Writing Center and Math lab. These tutors play a vital role in helping students obtain academic excellence.
Positions are part time and flexible schedules are available.

The following knowledge, skills and abilities are required: knowledge of office practices and procedures, excellent writing, spelling, punctuation, grammar and/or math skills, excellent customer service skills, previous experience working with the public, attention to details. Ability to work independently, ability to work with students from diverse populations, ability to determine priorities and meet multiple deadlines and ability to maintain confidentiality are also required.
Expertise and experience relevant to effective tutoring.
Candidate should have knowledge of websites/Internet Explorer and ability to send and download electronic documents through the Internet.
Successful candidate will have 6 months to 3 years (or more) classroom or tutorial experience, or the equivalent. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, although a Bachelor degree is preferred.
