Provide central coordination for students enrolled in the Content Creator Program. Students will be developing original online projects for YouTube, Twitch and other popular online platforms. Provide expertise and guidance that augments project courses and aids students in the development of their projects.Essential
Provide a wide array of student support services including outreach, program enrollment, academic advising, registration, and admissions. Develop and keep current program materials and information sources including social media sites and posts with other staff members.Essential
The Interior Alaska Campus (IAC) is seeking a creative individual with well-rounded expertise in online content creation and management. IAC is developing a new Content Creators program that provides students with the skills and knowledge to create, publish and manage their own sites on popular online platforms. This position will work collaboratively with your team and partners to help students bring together the skills they learn through classroom instruction to successfully launch and grow their online presence.
This position will represent the program to the public and generate interest in the program. They will provide other student service activities intended to generate enrollment and aid students.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent organizational skills, effective management skills, ability to work independently, able to work in remote/rural situations, able to develop and maintain partnerships. Knowledge of current and trending online media platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, etc. Strong written and oral communication skills.
Minimum of two year's experience in the following: rural education and/or management. Effective experience working with and providing support for educational programming. Demonstrated experience in digital content creation and social media, project management and work with community partners.
Experience working in a college/university setting, working with rural Alaska and/or student services.
Required Education or Training:
College degree in technology, management, communications or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Effective experience working with and providing outreach to, rural Alaskans and external organizations. Knowledge of student support services. Effective experience in collaborating with communities.

This is a 3/4-time, Grade 78, minimum $23.60/hr, DOE, 12-month position complete with a competitive salary and UA employee benefits package.
