The UAA College of Engineering is looking for students to provide technical support for our eLearning classrooms. Position is 10-20 hours per week.
eLearning Technology Student Technicians provide technical support to students, faculty, and staff within the College of Engineering at the University of Alaska Anchorage. The work done is largely audio visual (AV) and information technology (IT) from using and managing eLearning classrooms and computer workstations to updating online resources. This position is responsible for monitoring and testing audio and video connections, helping users connect to the eLearning classrooms, recording classes, posting material to Blackboard, troubleshooting (or escalating) technical issues, and more occasionally assisting with workstation and website maintenance and other tasks as determined by the eLearning Coordinator. Must attend meetings and training as requested by the eLearning Coordinator and work cooperatively with other members of the eLearning Technology Team while being receptive of appropriate work-related critiques. Training will be provided.
*Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours with the University of Alaska Anchorage and have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
