Position Summary:

This full-time position is looking for a candidate to facilitate Writing tutoring and instructional support to students attending Bristol Bay Campus. They will also conduct staff training, maintain student records and assist with evaluating program effectiveness.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Work is performed under administrative supervision and includes responsibility for a full
range of activities in developing and presenting writing instruction. This includes preparing
course material, designing participant manuals, collecting appropriate videos and other
materials, and conducting or facilitating training in various settings.

Knowledge of methods and techniques for conducting a needs assessment.
Ability to apply knowledge of instructional methods for youth, adult learners, and/or special populations (e.g., disabled or at-risk).
Ability to develop original training content and material.

Preferred:
Rural Alaska experience or knowledge; distance education experience and skills.

Required Experience and Education:                          

Bachelor’s degree in related field and one year experience (i.e.training or human resource development), or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Salary: $29.98/hr, DOE (27% geographical differential already included). This is a full-time, 10-month position complete with a competitive salary and UA employee benefits package.
