College of Engineering GenCyber Academy Assistant Instructor Anchorage
The UAA GenCyber Academy is a cybersecurity-themed summer camp program for youth in the 10th to 12th grades. We seek to hire 3 current UAA students, with preference given to students with 300-level computer science coursework and an understanding of cybersecurity concepts. Writing Center Student Tutor Pool (2023 Spring Semester) Juneau
The Writing Center is seeking student writing tutors to work with UAS students. The job requires solid writing skills and the ability to coach students through all stages of the writing process, though we do provide training with our "grow-a-tutor" model. Perfect writing is not required, but a strong foundation and a willingness to learn are. A student tutor position is a great opportunity to improve mentoring skills, learn about tutoring/teaching strategies, and gain professional work experience. Student tutors are also involved in special projects run by the Writing Center such as writing contests and the publication of the in-house academic journal, Summit.
