Communications Manager - EPSCoR Fairbanks
The Communications Manager undertakes a variety of communications, reporting, and writing-related tasks for the Alaska National Science Foundation (NSF) EPSCoR program. They write, edit and design newsletters and other outreach materials; maintain the project website; create content for social media accounts; and oversee a team that creates audiovisual materials. They develop and compile information for the NSF, including annual and final reports, Site Visits, responses to recommendations, external evaluations, and other complex reporting requirements. They compile information for, edit and write narrative portions of grant proposals for the NSF. They develop and manage Alaska EPSCoR communications strategy and policy to identify, inform, and influence target audiences. Job duties are often complimentary and the percentage of time spent on different tasks varies throughout the year. The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) is seeking a qualified individual to fill a beginning-level, tenure-track, Assistant Professor of Psychology position with primary teaching responsibility within our Behavior Analysis programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Department of Psychology has a concentration, minor, and occupational endorsement certificate in behavior analysis. Additionally, the Department of Psychology has a behavior analysis track in its M.S. program in Clinical Psychology that prepares students for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) exam and licensure as a behavior analyst in the state of Alaska. The behavior analysis curriculum is an approved verified course sequence by the Association for Behavior Analysis International.

Rural Program Director Anchorage
While the Alaska SBDC has many centers and advisors in physical locations in the major population centers across the state, there are over 250 communities that also need SBDC’s services.  The Rural Program Director manages a virtual center with advisors in various locations around the state that provide business advising services to rural entrepreneurs located in  communities not serviced by other SBDC Centers.  Over the past three years, the number of clients served by the Rural Program increased 140% and continues to grow.    The Rural Program Director manages the Rural Program, supervises staff, provides business advising, develops online and stand alone business development tools, hosts in person and online events and trainings, develops and  engages in partnerships geared towards supporting rural Alaska entrepreneurs and businesses.  This position will focus on identifying new ways that the Alaska SBDC can continue to support rural Alaskan businesses to help them launch and grow.  This will help the Alaska SBDC continue to not only cover the entire state, but also focus our efforts on the communities and businesses that don’t have access to the resources and support found in larger communities who need help the most.
