Arts and Sciences Administrative Manager
The School of Arts & Sciences is seeking an Administrative Manager to oversee all fiscal matters in the University of Alaska Southeast's largest regional academic unit. This academic division is comprised of four regional departments that offer a wide variety of degree and certificate programs and all of the institution's General Education Requirements (GERs) from the Juneau, Ketchikan, and Sitka campuses. Learning and research take place not only in classrooms or online, but also in the rain forest, ice field, wetlands, and marine environment of Southeast Alaska. The Administrative Manager reports directly to the Dean and is responsible for all of the School's budget management including post-award grant/contract fiscal responsibilities for the School; as well as other duties as assigned by the Dean. Field Engineer - Alaska Earthquake Center
We are recruiting a Field Engineer to join the Alaska Earthquake Center and help us maintain our network of remote seismic monitoring stations. The Earthquake Center provides definitive earthquake information to the public, emergency managers, scientists, and engineers. The Field Engineer will contribute to this mission by working to develop reliable power and wireless communication systems to support real-time seismic data acquisition from all parts of the state. Extensive travel to remote locations is required. This position will be physically located at the UAF campus in Fairbanks, Alaska. While there may be a current opportunity for remote work, the successful finalist will be expected to report to duty at the UAF office no later than 60 days from written notice provided by the university.
