UAA College of Engineering Civil Engineering Post-Doctoral Research Associate Anchorage
This position will work on a project entitled “Comparison of the Seismic Reliability of Structures in Jurisdictions with and without Building Code Enforcement". The goal is to investigate the seismic response of buildings with design flaws or construction errors, which are likely more common outside the building-code enforcement zone. The project will involve full-scale seismic testing of wood shear-wall structures in a laboratory setting, development of the resulting fragility curves and associated probabilistic risk analysis, interviewing and interacting with the local building community about their inspections after the 7.0 Magnitude earthquake in November 2018 and planning educational seminars for contractors and design professionals.

SHARP Data Analyst and Evaluator Anchorage
The Alaska Center for Rural Health and Health Workforce is currently hiring for the position of Program Evaluator. This term staff position will serve as an evaluator for two community funded projects. The first, the Alaska SHARP Program, provides loan repayment assistance to rural and underserved healthcare providers. The second, is a partnership with the State of Alaska Department of Health and Social Services Division of Public Health involving expansion of Public Health Workforce training throughout the state. This position will lead evaluation efforts for both projects. In addition, the position will serve to support development of a shared database for the SHARP loan repayment program.

Student assistants are needed to assist local coastal fisheries oceanography research in the Navarro Lab.
