Cost Analyst Fairbanks
The University Cost Analysis Department is responsible for the facilities and administrative (F&A) cost rate and fringe benefit cost rate calculations and proposal preparation, analysis, audit defense and submission to the Federal Government. The department is also charged with federal fiscal compliance in the areas of F&A cost, fringe benefits and other costing areas. The department manages the University’s Functional Use Survey. The department maintains university wide cost accounting policies and procedures and the related Cost Accounting Disclosure Statement (DS-2) to ensure compliance with Federal rules and regulations.

This is a union-represented position. Responsible for supporting the successful operations of the general services provided by UAF Facilities Services Department of Electrical Maintenance. The successful candidate’s primary responsibility will be to maintain and service the lighting systems on campus. Our shop is also responsible for several remote campus locations so travel is possible. We are a small shop and value cooperation between members of the team so training and experience in all aspects of electrical maintenance will occur. Safety is our number one priority and the successful candidate will receive training and experience to work safely around hazards including all aspects of electricity, asbestos, environmental hazards, etc. and learn safe work practices. Project Director – 11th AD Suicide Prevention Fairbanks
The Center for Alaska Native Health Research is seeking a full-time Project Director to oversee the management and conduct of research activities funded by the Department of Defense to reduce suicide in the military. Projects include co-developing conceptual framework for identifying and employing interventions, interfacing with military senior leaders, and coordinating with research stakeholders for human subjects oversight, data collection and management, data analysis, and reporting relevant findings. The Project Director serves as the lead for the management and execution of the project. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: tracking and facilitating the completion of project milestones, deliverables, and tasks; anticipating and resolving problems or issues as they surface; participating in and contributing meaningfully to the research enterprise, and supervising and coordinating support staff. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal, written, and cross-cultural communication skills and a willingness to travel within and outside of Alaska. The position is full-time, 12 months a year, and funded through December 2025, with a possible extension depending on funding.

The UAA Aviation Technology Division (ATD), within the CTC, represents the latest in aviation education technologies in a large facility with state-of-the-art classrooms and labs. The mission of the ATD is to enhance, promote, and provide quality aviation education, research and service worldwide. The ATD offers a Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Aviation Administration, Professional Piloting, or Aeronautical Studies as well as Associate degrees in Aviation Maintenance, Air Traffic Control, and Professional Piloting. Additionally, the ATD offers two Undergraduate Certificates in the Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) program, an Aircraft Dispatcher curriculum, and a Minor in Aviation Technology. The Division seeks a qualified individual for the position of Term Assistant Professor of Aviation Technology: Administration/Professional Piloting. This position will teach classes in support of the Bachelor of Science in Aviation Technology degree. Potential courses to be taught within this position include but are not limited to: Aerodynamics (upper & lower division), Introduction to Aviation Technology, Aviation Safety, Resource Management, Human Factors in Aviation, and Elements of Weather. Student Photographer Fairbanks
The Student Photographer position at UAF University Relations assists the Chief Photographer in covering a wide range of photography assignments, from in-studio and on-location portraits to documentary coverage of events, setting up and staging photo scenarios for specific usages, gathering a wide variety of “Campus Life” images, some sports photography and the occasional field research assignment. The Student Photographer is responsible for editing and processing the photos, following the appropriate procedures to ensure proper metadata entry, model release collection, photo shoot archiving and processed image sharing. The Student Photographer will have the opportunity to grow and expand their portfolio under the mentorship and direction of the Chief Photographer, and will also have the opportunity to assist in social media and marketing efforts. The University of Alaska Fairbanks Student Health and Counseling Center (SHCC) is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider with family medicine or adult/internal medicine experience to provide health services to UAF students. SHCC provides medical, counseling, and health education services to the UAF student body. Advanced Practice Providers offer comprehensive, ambulatory health care and health education for university students as a part of the medical staff. This benefited position is full time during the academic year (mid-August through mid-May) and part time during the summer term; however, summer term is negotiable. Minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: 1) Advanced Nurse Practitioner: National Certification as a Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner with relevant licensure in Alaska, Alaska prescriptive authority and DEA number (or eligibility for); or 2) Physician Assistant - Certified: National certification as a Physician Assistant with relevant licensure in Alaska, Alaska prescriptive authority and DEA number (or eligibility for). Other qualifications necessary are experience in primary care, health maintenance and general medicine, and health education.
