Position Summary:
UAF Community & Technical College is seeking a Tenure Track Assistant Professor for our vibrant, innovative, and growing Applied Business and Accounting program.
This is a 9 month (full-time), tenure track faculty position complete with a competitive UA employee benefits package.

Duties:
100Teach a variety of applied business and accounting courses over the academic year to a diverse population of degree and non-degree seeking students. Teaching assignments may include online, day, evening or weekend classes. Occasional travel may be required.
Additional duties may include academic advising, program development, grant writing, text evaluation, course revision, curriculum improvement, development and teaching of classroom and web-based courses, community service, and involvement on advisory committees, faculty governance, and search committees.Essential
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: |
Candidates will be evaluated on suitability of their academic preparation, past teaching experience, potential for providing high quality instruction to undergraduate students and ability to work as a team player.
The following knowledge, skills and abilities are required: -Successful teaching experience in at least two of the following subject areas: Accounting, Finance, Tourism, Human Resources, International Business, Marketing, Management, as well as computer software applications. -Demonstrated entrepreneurship and/or practical business experience. -Demonstrated human relations and team building skills. -Demonstrated communication and presentation skills. -Experience with diverse cultures and learning styles. -Experience developing or delivering courses via the internet or other distance delivery medium. |
Preferred Experience: |
At least 2 years teaching experience.

Required Education or Training: |
Associate's degree in a business or related field, with the ability to earn a Bachelor's within one year of hire is required.
Master's degree in business administration or related field and any appropriate professional licenses (e.g. CPA, SPHR, etc.) PREFERRED.
