Position Summary:

The University of Alaska Fairbanks invites applications for an instructor position in the Bachelor of Applied Management program to begin in the Fall semester of 2023. The College of Business and Security Management is accredited by the AACSB. Duties:

1-80- Teach seven courses, or equivalent, during the academic year. - Create new curriculum for in-person and online courses, as needed. - Incorporate experiential learning into the curriculum. - Prepare syllabi consistent with UAF guidelines. - Hold regular office hours. - Participate in the assurance of learning.Essential
20- Engage in university, professional, and/or community service. - Participate in student recruiting and other events related to the College of Business and Security Management - May develop intellectual contributions and teaching areas. - May serve as an advisor/faculty mentor to a student organization.Essential

Candidates should possess an earned Master's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Management, Managerial Communications, or Logistics. 

Primary duties include teaching seven courses per year (or equivalent). Outstanding teaching and excellent communication skills are required. Candidates will participate in departmental and university service and engage in continuing professional development. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: A successful applicant will have the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Management, Managerial Communications, Project Management, Operations Management, Organizational Behavior, or Logistics both in the classroom and via distance. Strong teaching and communication skills are required. 
Typical Experience:
We are looking for applicants who have industry experience in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Management, Managerial Communications, Project Management, Operations Management, Logistics, and Organizational Behavior.
Required Education or Training:

Candidates should possess a Master's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Management, Logistics, Managerial Communications, or a related field for consideration. Experience teaching related courses or industry experience in the relevant fields.

Salary Information:

This is a full-time, 9-month faculty appointment with an option for an additional three months, complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. Salary is at UNAC Grade 40 level, and based on education and experience.
