This Fiscal Tech position is to provide Northwest Campus with support for faculty and staff regarding requisitions, purchasing, payments, and reconciliations. May serve as backup for Business Office Manager.
10Buy and reconcile paperwork for campus books, office commodities, computer and art supplies
Reconcile cash sales, prepare bank deposits and communicate with UAF Business Office
Oversee year end operations for purchasing areas, ensuring completion and submission of pending orders, invoice approvals, book and supply inventories, and open encumbrances by designated deadlinesEssential
25Coordinate purchasing for campus, including researching options, tracking orders, requesting BPO''s and resolving problems regarding orders, billings and payments.Essential
30Approve payment of invoices, including checking incoming shipments, reconciling services & merchandise with purchase orders, entering information in Banner, communicating information to Accounts Payable Dept. in Fairbanks and maintaining accessible A/P filesEssential

The Fiscal Technician position at Northwest Campus is a 30 hour per week position, offering full benefits. This position is responsible for coordinating travel, purchasing campus supplies, reconciling accounts and cash sales, work with staff and faculty regarding course and instructor materials, approve payment of invoices, communicating with appropriate UAF departments, maintain all expense report files and other essential fiscal office duties.
|Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of automated accounting systems and electronic spreadsheets.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting system functions or procedures.
Two years of basic fiscal technician experience
|Required Education or Training:
One year of college coursework in accounting or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
This is a part-time, 11-month, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule, Grade 34_76, based on education and experience.
