UAS Student Housing is hiring additional student staff for Fall 2022 - Spring 2023. We view student employment as being developmental and educational to our student staff and value that opportunity for personal and professional growth.
A Residence Life Assistant is a great way to improve your marketable skills for future employment, such as those pertaining to public speaking, customer service, critical thinking and problem-solving, time management, and administrative ability. This position’s pay begins at $10.34 with up to 20 hours per week available. Review date of applications will begin September 23rd, 2022.
Though training is largely provided, we do expect some of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to be displayed and demonstrated:
Part-time (6 credits) student status
Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA
May not be on disciplinary probation
Effective interpersonal skills
Ability to work as a member of a staff team
Demonstrated leadership and/or peer helping skills
Preference given to candidates with experience living in communal environments and/or university leadership involvement
REQUIRED EDUCATION OR TRAINING:
Training is provided to all student staff of Student Housing. This training includes; office administrative tasks, department communication methods and tools, use of custodial supplies including cleaning chemicals and equipment, Housing and Residence Life policies and procedures.
Residence Life Assistants typically serve multiple roles in our department including custodial work, front desk customer service, special projects, and administrative assistance.
