The UAF Accounts Payable office is currently seeking an enthusiastic student to assist the staff in daily office tasks. About this position:
This is a part-time temporary Student Assistant 2; minimum starting pay is $11.34 per hour, but is dependent upon experience. The Student Assistant can work up to 20 hours per week while school is in session. Additional hours up to 40 hours per week available for the summer break.
- Working knowledge of computer software such as Word, Excel and databases with the ability to perform data searches using the internet.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail, work in an organized manner, plan and organize duties to meet deadlines, follow instructions, and work without close supervision.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles, processes, and terminology.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and work cooperatively with others.
- Basic mathematical skills to perform basic math functions
Six months or more of general office experience.
Typical Education or Training:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Applicant should be enrolled as a UAF student with a minimum GPA of 2.0, or a newly enrolled student.
