Adjunct positions are on a semester-by-semester contract basis. Successful acceptance into the adjunct pool does not guarantee an offer of a contract. The Chukchi Campus is looking for adjunct faculty/part-time instructors. Duties include developing a course outline, syllabus, teaching materials, and tests as needed. Subject areas include but are not limited to: 

Accounting, Alaska Native Languages, Alaska Native Studies, Anthropology, Applied Art, Applied Business, Art, Automotive, Aviation Technology, Biology, Business Administration, Chemistry, Communication, Computer Information and Office Systems, Culinary Arts, Developmental Education, Early Childhood Education, Education, Emergency Medical Services, English, Fire Science, Health, History, Human Services, Inupiaq, Journalism, Justice, Library Science, Linguistics, Mathematics, Natural Resources Management, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Recreation, Rural Development, Rural Human Services, Social Work, Tribal Management, Welding, Writing and Material Technology.  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Candidates will be evaluated on the suitability of their academic preparation, past teaching experience, and potential for providing high-quality instruction to undergraduate students.

Required Experience:

Expertise and experience relevant to the effective teaching of the specific subject that the candidate is being hired for.

Required Education and/or Training:

Masters in the subject area preferred, but at a minimum, demonstrated experience and expertise in the subjects required.
