The University of Alaska Anchorage seeks an engaging and collaborative individual to serve as the Campus Visit Coordinator within Enrollment Services. This position will work to plan and execute the campus visit programs to engage new and prospective students into the University of Alaska Anchorage.
25Responsible for the recruitment, training, supervision and evaluation of the Student Ambassador team. Develop annual training program for Ambassadors, as well as on-going professional development opportunities to continue the development of the team throughout the year. Train students on campus tours, office duties and data entry. Assure staffing levels are met for Green & Gold Visit Days, other on campus and off campus recruitment events.Essential
25Work with Assistant Director and Executive Director to track prospective students, report on tours, and provide feedback to partner units. Assist in planning and coordinating other recruitment events, including Academic Preview Day, Junior Day, UA Scholars Night, and other recruitment events. Work closely with Recruitment and Events Coordinator on larger on campus events to assure appropriate coverage and staffing of events. Active member of UAA’s recruitment team. Answers the main admissions telephone line, serves walk-in visitors with admissions related questions, perform data entry, assist in monitoring admission email accounts, attend/staff other recruitment events as needed.lable to ensure appropriate coverage and staffing of events.Essential
50Coordinate and oversee UAA’s Green & Gold Visit Day program. Coordinate with academic and other student services units to schedule visit appointments, develop and provide appropriate materials for visitors. Coordinate and disseminate pre- and post visit communication. Assure adequate coverage for presentation, tour and individual appointments for visitors. Present, provide tours in absence of a student ambassador and counsel prospective students and families on admission requirements, educational opportunities, student services and other issues involved with enrollment.Essential

The ideal candidate is a natural collaborator who brings leadership, excitement, creativity, and a collaborative team-oriented philosophy. This position will work to plan and execute the summer orientation and campus visit programs to engage new and prospective students into the University of Alaska Anchorage.
Excellent oral communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively verbally in front of small and large groups and to provide regular presentations and trainings.
Excellent written communication skills.
Must be able to think quickly to resolve unexpected situations calmly and with tact and diplomacy.
Ability to manage competing deadlines, short and long term tasks.
Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
Experience in customer service.
Experience in event planning or scheduling.
Experience in public speaking.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution required.
UAA academic experience preferred.

This is a full-time, Grade 78, minimum $23.84/hr, DOE, 12-month position complete with a competitive salary and UA employee benefits package.
